Become an Energy Savings Superhero

Become an Energy Savings Superhero

This interactive and fun session illustrated the relationship between our energy choices and our changing climate. Participants learned about THE EmPOWERS – a group of Energy Savings Superheroes who represent the energy sources where we derive electricity. By utilizing the free resource, THE EmPOWERS Activity Kit, the session focused on where our energy comes from, how much we use every day, and how that impacts the environment and connects to climate change. Participants also learned about the interactive Energy Arcade that brings energy efficiency to life. The Kit is designed for kindergarten through 6th grade, however it can be adapted for high school student so that they learn how to lead the lessons for the younger students.
